NDA abbreviated as National Defence Academy and at the very early age one can try for defence entry. To pursue this career one needs to focus on certain key points that can make him eligible and capable of taking entry in National Defence Academy. Educational eligibility criteria, physical fitness, subject knowledge and must be viable with different extra-curricular activities to participate in this test of NDA. There are certain norms that a candidate must fulfill which are defined in prospective of NDA written exam. This exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and only for unmarried male candidates that in lies between the age of 16 ½ to 19 ½ years with the qualification of intermediate i.e. 10+2 level with Physics and Mathematics.

NDA Examination is basically of the level that includes participation of candidates for all the three wings of defense services i.e. Army, Navy and Air Force. It is conducted twice in a year by UPSC. One should understand the main importance of this examination in every aspect let it be eligible criteria or entrance of NDA Exam. There are certain glitches in exam that a candidate needs to understand while practicing for exam and very importantly there are certain that an aspirant need to focus with the understanding value of this exam if he wants to go for officer level in Indian Army.

Structure of NDA Exam is as follows:

Paper-1: Mathematics

Paper-2 : General Ability

Syllabus for the concerned papers of NDA is mentioned below:

Paper-1 Mathematics:

Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry of two and three dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations, Vector Algebra, Statistics and Probability.

Paper-2 General Ability:

Part A: English

Part B: Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Indian History, Freedom Movement in India, Civics, Geography, Current Events

How to prepare for phase-1 written examination:

Candidate should always look for the pattern before preparing for NDA Exam i.e. previous year solved question papers.

Should  also focus on the subject part with the weight age of marks and priority of topics.

Self-Study is must for an aspirant who is preparing for NDA, as it is not an easy exam from competition point of view and difficulty level that is introduced in exam.

Time management should be there with every candidate as in less time candidate has to go for more questions to solve. After written examination, SSB interviews are held after that medical test clear, you are shortlisted or got selected.
